Compensation of VAT

Resolution 403/2009 of the Department of Economy and Public Finance extends up to 31-12-2010 the application of the Diet of Compensation of VAT for operations with cards of debit with Main attribute.

- The return of the VAT will be realized when the account where the debit was realized has the condition of Final Consumer before the VAT. If the account possesses different condition the tax will not return for the realized buys. - The return total is 5 % on the amount of the buy without VAT or the equivalent to 4,13 % of the amount of the buy. - The reinstatement will realize in the buys of up to $ 1.000 and inside the first 5 working days of the following month of realized the buy.

Operations that are excepted of the reinstatement of the VAT:

• Buys superior to $ 1.000.
• Buys of liquid Fuels and Natural gas.
• Buys realized in the exterior.
• Buys realized in the Territory of Tierra del Fuego and in free or customs zones where it governs the exemption or not application of the VAT.
• If at the moment of realizing the return of the tax, the account in which the debit of the same one was realized was closed, the return of the VAT will not be carried out.
• Payments of: gas services, electric power, water, cable television and/or satelital, prepays, services of Internet, cellular telephony, buys of telephony, national, provincial and municipal taxes, education given by private educational establishments (including particular classes, nursery schools and gardens), services given by associations, foundations, civil entities and mutuales; Schools and Professional Advices.
• Buy of stamps of mail, stamped role, bank notes and qualifications of actions, obligations and other similar qualifications.
• Tickets of gambling games, lotteries, etc.
• Financiers realized with entities understood in the Law N ° 21.526 and his modifications.
• Carried out with persons in charge adhered to the Diet Simplified for Small Taxpayers (Monotax).
