Instrument of international payment by means of which, a bank - acting for account and order of a client (importer) - promises to pay or make to pay (generally by means of another bank) to a beneficiary (the exporter) a certain sum of money, against the presentation of the demanded documents, any time the terms and the conditions are fulfilled established in the credit letter.
The credit letters can be confirmed or done not not confirmed.
 In the first case, the beneficiary (exporter) obtains a new insurance of the payment in his own country across Banco Confirmador, eliminating, that way, possible commercial risks and also political of the country of the adviser (importer). In turn, the assertion facilitates, in diverse opportunities, the buy of the documents of shipment that demonstrate the sales in term of the exporter, without affecting the margin of credit assigned by his Bank.
In the second case, the beneficiary (exporter) only is provided with the guarantee of payment of the Issuing Bank of the credit letter.
 CREDIT LETTERS OF EXPORTATION
The Bank of the Nation Argentina carries out the notification, assertion, negotiation and financing of the credits documentarios expressed in the exterior, in favor of Argentine exporters clients or not of the Bank. CREDIT LETTERS OF IMPORT
The Bank of the Nation Argentina realizes the emission, negotiation, payment and credit financing documentarios requested by his clients, for the import of goods from the exterior. Also, our extensive network of subsidiary and corresponding in the exterior, they contribute that his operations are notified, confirmed – as it should be needed - negotiated and liquidated by the agility and safety that his company deserves.
 Other Forms
Rotary letters of Credit (Revolving Credit): the credit documentario is renewed automatically as it is used by the original amount, so many times as it was foreseen, along a certain period.
Credit letters of financing (Packing Credit): under this form, the credit documentario can be used, entirely or partially for the beneficiary, before the shipment.
Two types of variants exist:
 Red clause: term of payment against simple receipt and/or commitment to carry the shipment and delivery out, in this moment, of the pertinent shipment documents or, in his defect, to restore the perceived advance.
Green clause: to the previous variable, he joins, like support or more effective guarantee, the presentation of warrants or certificates of deposits.

In exterior commerce the "collections" are used to realize the collection management of commercial and financial documents on the part of the Banks. This service allows to the exporters to be sure that the shipment documents will not be dedicated to the importer, meanwhile this one has not expired with the totality of the conditions established in the collection instruction of the exporter.

COLLECTIONS OF EXPORTATION
The Bank of the Nation Argentina realizes the management of acceptance and/or cashing of the commercial and financial documents freed by exporters located in the Argentina, before the importers of the exterior, using for it the services of a bank conductor located in the square of the importer.
COLLECTIONS OF IMPORT
The Bank of the Nation Argentina realizes the management of acceptance and/or cashing, before importers located in the Argentina, of the commercial and financial documents sent from the exterior for foreign exporters across our branches or corresponding banks.
